Denys Zarubaiko

Already the winner of several competitions in Ukraine and internationally, this 23-year-old Ukrainian pianist dazzles with the poignant intensity of his playing. He is the piano revelation of the Académie Ravel 2022.
Born in 2000 in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, into a large family of 9 children, Denys Zarubaiko began studying music at the age of seven and in 2016 entered the Regional Professional College of Arts - specialising in 'Piano'.
In 2020, he continued his studies at the National Academy of Music.

He won the 1st prize in the King?s Peak International Music Competition and the Ukrainian National Music Festival?s Open Music Piano Competition 2021. He was a laureate of the Académie Ravel 2022, winning the Prix de l?Académie de la ville de Ciboure. He currently lives in Belgium, because of the Russian invasion, and studies at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp.
